How Much Does a Professional Website Cost in Morocco in 2026?
You want a website for your business, and the first question is simple: how much does it cost? In Morocco, the answer ranges from 2,000 to over 100,000 dirhams. That huge range doesn't help anyone decide.
So here are concrete ranges for 2026, by site type, what pushes the price up or down, and the costs people often forget.
At a glance
| Site type | Indicative range (MAD, excl. tax) | Average timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Business site (5–10 pages) | 8,000 – 25,000 | 3–5 weeks |
| Catalog / multi-service site | 20,000 – 45,000 | 5–8 weeks |
| Real estate site with listings | 30,000 – 70,000 | 6–10 weeks |
| E-commerce site | 30,000 – 120,000+ | 6–12 weeks |
| Custom platform / web app | 80,000+ | Quoted |
These ranges are for a site built by a professional agency: custom design, mobile version, SEO basics and launch support.
Why prices vary so much in Morocco
When two quotes for "a website" range from 3,000 to 40,000 MAD, they're not selling the same product.
A site at 2,000–5,000 MAD is usually a purchased WordPress theme, filled in with your logo and text. That can be enough to exist online, rarely enough to generate customers.
A professional site starts from your goals: who your customers are, what they're looking for, and what they should do on the site (call, request a quote, book, buy). The design, structure and copy are built around that.
The real question, then, isn't "how much does a site cost?" but "how many customers does it need to bring in to pay for itself?"
The 5 site types and their price
1. Business site: 8,000 – 25,000 MAD
To present your company, your services, and make people want to contact you. This is the choice of most SMBs, firms, tradespeople and B2B providers. Usually included: 5–10 pages (home, services, about, work, contact), custom design and mobile version, contact form and WhatsApp button, SEO basics (titles, descriptions, speed, Google Search Console), and a way to edit your own text and images.
2. Catalog or multi-service site: 20,000 – 45,000 MAD
For companies with many products or services to showcase, without online sales: distributors, manufacturers, B2B suppliers. Price rises with the number of listings, filters and per-product quote requests.
3. Real estate site with listings: 30,000 – 70,000 MAD
For agencies and developers. You need a real listings system: search by city, price, size, photo galleries, a map, a per-listing contact form, and a way for your team to add listings without a developer.
This is the kind of site we delivered for Almoulat Immobilier. As its founder Mehdi El Azzouzi put it: "Our new website has become our best source of leads." A well-designed real estate site doesn't just showcase properties — it fills your calendar with viewings.
4. E-commerce site: 30,000 – 120,000+ MAD
To sell online. Price mainly depends on the number of products and variants (sizes, colors), payment methods (CMI, cash on delivery, bank transfer), delivery (integration with Moroccan carriers), and the platform choice: Shopify (faster to launch, monthly subscription) or a custom store (more flexible, no platform commission).
5. Custom platform or web app: from 80,000 MAD
Client portal, online booking, B2B portal with per-client pricing, a trade-specific tool… At this point we're no longer talking about a website but software. The price is set after a precise scoping phase.
What pushes the price up (or down)
- Number of pages and templates. 10 pages following the same template cost less than 10 completely different pages.
- Design. An adapted theme costs less than a design built from scratch, but you'll look like your competitors.
- Features. Listings, filters, booking, client area, multilingual: each feature adds development time.
- Languages. A site in French, Arabic and English takes more work, especially Arabic (right-to-left reading).
- Content. If you provide copy and photos, it's cheaper. Copywriting and professional photography cost extra, but often change the result.
- Timelines. A site due in two weeks needs more people working at once.
Hidden costs to plan for
The website price isn't the total cost. Also budget for:
| Item | Indicative cost |
|---|---|
| Domain name (.ma or .com) | 150 – 400 MAD / year |
| Professional hosting | 1,000 – 4,000 MAD / year |
| Professional email (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) | about 60–70 MAD / user / month |
| Maintenance and updates | 500 – 3,000 MAD / month |
| Platform subscription (Shopify, paid plugins) | depends on the tool |
Maintenance is the most commonly forgotten item. A site that's never updated gets slow, becomes vulnerable to hacking, and eventually stops working properly. Always ask what maintenance costs before signing.
Freelancer, agency, or a "2,000 dirham site"?
A very cheap site works if you just want an online business card. Don't expect it to attract customers. A freelancer can be a good choice for a small site, but check who will handle maintenance if they become unavailable. An agency costs more upfront, but you get a team (design, development, SEO), a fixed quote, and an ongoing point of contact.
Whatever you choose, ask these questions before signing: Is the price fixed, or can it increase? Will I own the site, the domain and the code? Will I be able to edit my own content? What does maintenance include, and how much does it cost? Can you show me sites delivered in my industry?
How to set your budget properly
Start from what the site needs to earn back. If a new customer is worth 10,000 MAD on average and your site brings in two a month, a 25,000 MAD site pays for itself in under two months.
Then: list the 3 actions your visitors need to take (call, request a quote, buy…); list the must-have features, and those that can wait for phase 2; ask for a fixed quote based on that, not an open hourly rate.
FAQ
How much does a simple business website cost in Morocco? Expect 8,000 to 25,000 MAD excl. tax for a professional business site of 5–10 pages built by an agency, with custom design, mobile version and SEO basics.
How long does it take to build a website? Generally 3–5 weeks for a business site, and 6–12 weeks for a real estate or e-commerce site. The timeline mostly depends on how fast content is provided.
Do you have to pay every year for a website? Yes: the domain name and hosting renew every year, and monthly maintenance is recommended. Budget at least 1,500–4,000 MAD per year excluding maintenance.
Shopify or a custom store? Shopify launches faster and suits most catalogs. Custom makes sense when you have specific needs (B2B pricing, ERP integration, high volume) or don't want a monthly subscription.
Will I be able to edit my own site? Yes, if the agency installs a content management tool. With us, it's included: you edit text, images and listings without needing a developer.
